Maureen Doyle McQuerry is an award winning poet, author and teacher. She has taught for twenty years, specializing in Young Adult literature and writing, and in gifted education. She was the 2000 McAuliffe Fellow for Washington State and has published two non-fiction books, Nuclear Legacy, which won an Independent Bookseller Award (Battelle Press,  2000) and Student Inquiry (Creative Learning Press, 2003). 

Maureen’s poems appear in numerous journals including: Smartish Pace, The Atlanta Review, Southern Review, America and in several anthologies. In fact, her poems are often the impetus for her novels. Her chapbook, Relentless Light, is available through Finishing Line Press.
