If any of you happen to be in the San Jose, CA or Milledgeville, GA area, here are a couple of author events for Farrell O’Gorman, author of Awaiting Orders, and Maureen McQuerry, author of Wolfproof:

• July 14, 2007. Maureen McQuerry will be in San Jose, CA for a book signing tour to promote Wolfproof. The signing will be in the Blossom Hill Borders bookstore at 1p.m. Students are invited to stop by and enter a nationwide contest to create a character for the second book in the Wolfproof trilogy, The Travelers’ Market, to be released by Idylls Press in the summer of 2008.
• July 15, 2007, Maureen will be signing books at 1 p.m. at the Santana Row Borders in San Jose, CA.
• July 23-27, Farrell O’Gorman will be participating in the NEH Summer Institute “Reconsidering Flannery O’Connor” at Georgia College State University in Milledgeville, GA, O’Connor’s hometown. Farrell, who is also the author of Peculiar Crossroads: Flannery O’Connor, Walker Percy, and Catholic Vision in Postwar Southern Fiction, will lecture on the relationship between Catholicism and American individualism in O’Connor’s published novels in light of early depictions of that relationship in the American Gothic tradition.
